Music styles and their descriptions to help you enjoy your night with me a little more. These wonderful definitions are snippets from more in-depth descriptions on Wikipedia. I've also recommended some drinks to make the music matter just a little bit more!

• Mashups - a glass of white zin (seriously, its mixed-up pop music)

PDUB features classic and new mash ups in every show. These tracks are very creative combinations of several unexpected songs. It's the perfect way to bridge the gap between classic party songs and new hits when spinning.

My favorite artists that put these mash ups together will be listed on our site to give them credit and encourage you to buy their goods. They're listed in the order that I found them while spelunking the web. Enjoy!

• D0WNT3MPO – try a glass of CMS red

The 1990s brought on a wave of slower paced music which was played throughout chillout rooms - the relaxation sections of the clubs or dedicated sections at electronic music events. Downtempo music started to surface around in Ibiza, when DJs and Promoters would bring down the vibe with slower rhythm and gentler electronic music upon approaching sunrise.

• DUBST3P – the Oban works here

Dubstep rhythms are usually syncopated, and often shuffled or incorporating triplets. The tempo is nearly always in the range of 138-142bpm. Dubstep rhythms typically do not follow the four-to-the-floor patterns common in many other styles of electronic dance music such as techno and house,
but instead tend to rely on a kickdrum based around the first and third
beat of a bar.

• B1GB34T – jack and ginger

Almost certainly influenced by the work of studio legend Dougie Wright, big beat tends to feature distorted, compressed breakbeats at moderate tempos (usually between 90 to 140 beats per minute), acid house style synthesizer lines and heavy loops from jazz, rock or 60s pop. They are often punctuated with punkish vocals and driven by intense, distorted basslines with conventional pop and techno song structures.

• DRUMNB4SS – goose, up, twist

A type of electronic dance music which emerged in the late 1980s. The genre is characterised by fast breakbeats (generally between 160–180 bpm, but also having occasional differences in some older
compositions), with heavy sub-bass lines.
